Man Sought After Fontana 7-Eleven Robbed at Gunpoint

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly robbed a clerk at gunpoint at a 7-Eleven store in Fontana early Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to a call of a robbery in the 7400 block of Cherry Avenue shortly after 2 a.m., the Fontana Police Department said.

The man entered the business and allegedly pointed a handgun at the clerk, demanding money from the cash register and safe, police said. After the clerk handed over the money, the man left on foot in an unknown direction.

The man is described as a Black male in his 30's, with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weights 140 pounds, according to Fontana police.

An image caught by surveillance video showed the man wearing a blue football jersey with the name "Romo" on the back and the number "9" in the front.
