Man Stabbed to Death at Santa Ana Party

Police Sunday were investigating what led to the stabbing death of a man at a Santa Ana party.

Police responded to a call at 2020 S. Eastwood Ave. around 11:55 p.m. Saturday and found two men, initially believed to be in their 20s, stabbed in the upper body, the Santa Ana Police Department said. Both were taken to a hospital, where one died and the other was listed in stable condition.

The deceased was identified as 18-year-old Andrew Loera. Police said the wounded man is also 18, but did not disclose his name.

Police say they found balloons and nitrous oxide tanks at the scene, which they described as an illegal street party, indicating that partygoers might have been inhaling the gas.

Anyone with information on this incident is urged to call OC crime stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS.
