Man Tells 911 Dispatcher He Shot And Killed Wife, Sheriff's Officials Say

A man was arrested Saturday for shooting and killing his wife inside their Apple Valley home, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said.

Tom Robinson, 53, called a 911 dispatcher around 9:59 p.m. Saturday to report that he had shot and killed his wife, 35-year-old Rocio Martinez, in their home on the 13300 block of Applewood Road, the department said.

Deputies also found the couple's four children, who were inside the home when the shooting occurred, the department said. None of the children was injured.

Robinson was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center after being interviewed by homicide detectives, according to the department. He is facing a murder charge and is ineligible for bail.

The children, who range in age from one to seven years old, were taken into the care of San Bernardino County Children & Family Services.
