An armed man was wounded after an officer-involved shooting in Ontario Tuesday night, police said.

The shooting was reported around 9:25 p.m. at the Quality Inn Motel at 514 N. Vineyard Avenue, according to the Ontario Police Department.

Police responded to the motel after receiving a report from Pomona Police Department that the man was wanted for allegedly making terrorist threats.

Pomona police also informed Ontario officers that they had reason to believe he was armed.

An officer-involved shooting then took place.

Police identified the suspect as Alfredo Armando Morales, 44, of Pomona.

Morales was transported to a hospital where he was in stable condition.
