Man in Custody After Pursuit Ends in South LA

A man was taken into custody in connection with a police pursuit that ended in a South Los Angeles neighborhood Saturday.

The pursuit began about 4:25 p.m. when officers tried to stop a car that was reported stolen, Los Angeles Police Department officials said.

The pursuit ended less than 20 minutes later when the driver jumped out of the car in the residential area of Adams Boulevard and Arlington Avenue.

Police set up a perimeter, and eventually found the suspected driver and took him into custody without incident.

No further information was immediately available.
