Masked robbers assaulted employees and customers with pepper spray in an armed takeover-style bank robbery Friday in Los Alamitos.
The incident was reported at 10 a.m. at the City National Bank at 5252 Katella Avenue.
Authorities said at least two suspects robbed the bank and at least one of the suspects was armed with a gun.
The suspects assaulted multiple victims with pepper spray, said Laura Eimiller, an FBI spokeswoman. The victims were treated at the scene by the Orange County Fire Authority.
The men covered their faces with masks as they entered the bank, but they could be seen without the masks in some of the bank surveillance photographs taken before they went into the bank.
The men were described as black in their late 20s or early 30s with slim builds and wearing casual clothing.
