Massive Fire Eats Away at Huntington Park Building

A massive fire eating away at a three-story commercial building in Huntington Park was threatening to force the building to collapse Wednesday.

The blaze was reported around 10:48 a.m. in the 200 block of Belgrave Avenue, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

By 11 a.m., portions of the roof had collapsed.

No injuries have been reported, and it wasn't clear how it was started.

By later in the afternoon, firefighters had knocked the fire down, but would have to continue to extinguish pockets throughout the evening.
