2 Stabbed on Metro Bus in South Los Angeles

An attacker was sought after two people aboard a Metro bus in South Los Angeles were stabbed Monday night, police said.

The call of the attack came in at 8:56 p.m. at the bus stop on Figueroa and 117th streets, near the Vermont Vista neighborhood, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Transit Services Bureau.

Witnesses said a man got on the bus, stabbed two people, then got off the bus and ran, police said.

Two victims were taken to the hospital in unknown condition, police said.

Police were also investigating a possible third victim, who might have been hit with a bottle by the same attacker near the bus stop.
