Metrolink Suspends Antelope Valley Service as Sand Fire Burns

Commuters trying to travel from the Antelope Valley to Los Angeles Monday morning will face a difficult trek, as Metrolink service was suspended as the Sand Fire continued to burn in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Train service on the Antelope Valley line will operate between Via Princessa and Los Angeles only. No bus bridge north of Santa Clarita will be available, according to the agency.

The Via Princessa station is located at 19201 Via Princessa in Santa Clarita.

The was no clear timeline on when the route would be restored, as the massive fire spread to 51 square acres and evacuations remained in place.

Updates can be found on the Metrolink website.
