Missing Father of Five Last Seen in Rancho Cucamonga

A father of five was last seen leaving a Wal-Mart in Rancho Cucamonga on April 5.

A surveillance photo at Four Points Sheraton shows 37-year-old Oliver Jones who goes by his middle name Pareece checking out of the hotel — the time stamp shows 6:26 a.m. on April 5.

His sister Leah is the last person to speak with him.

"He said, 'Come pick me up. I'm in Rancho Cucamonga,'" she said.

She said it was a quick phone conversation on April 4.

"Something's wrong with him," she said. "I think he's hurt."

Rancho Cucamonga police are trying to piece together what happened to the man who lives in Colorado.

Police are investigating it as a missing person, said Teresa McMahon, of the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department.

"It's not foul play at this point," she said.

Police are interviewing family members who have come from around the country including Leah who lives in Texas.

Jared saw his younger brother in Las Vegas the end of march for a family reunion.

Pareece and his cousin headed to LA.

His cousin claims Pareece's cellphone was stolen leaving a West LA night club where he was allegedly assaulted.

"We're assuming to get a taxi or something and got beat up," he said.

Jared said their cousin picked up Pareece and were driving back to Vegas on April 4 but stopped at a Rancho Cucamonga Claim Jumper.

Something happened he got out of the car, walked 1/2 a mile, spent the night at a Sheraton and took a taxi the next morning down the street to this walmart where investigators say he spent more than 300 dollars buying clothes and camping gear.

He bought cellphone in Wal-Mart, but never opened it.

Police know that because they found it a 1.5 miles away from Wal-Mart in a field near a train track.

The family hired a private investigator who says a homeless man has a lot of information surrounding the disappearance.

Investigators have not yet interviewed the cousin now on his way from Vegas.
