Body Found After Report of Shots Fired in Montclair



    Patrol vehicles and residents at the scene of a shooting death investigation Tuesday July 15, 2014 in Montclair.

    Officers responding to a report of shots fired early Tuesday discovered the body of man in the San Bernardino County community of Montclair.

    The victim, found near bushes on the side of the street, suffered gunshot wounds, according to police. Witnesses told investigators they saw a red or burgundy car, possibly a Chevrolet Camaro, leaving the scene in the 5400 block of San Bernardino Street.

    No arrests were reported Tuesday morning. Yellow police tape blocked off part of San Bernardino Street where the body, identified as that of a man in his 20s, was discovered.

    The driver of the vehicle is considered a "person of interest," according to the Montclair Police Department. The driver is wanted for questioning in the case.
