A biker died after their motorcycle crashed on the 10 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles early Saturday.
Another vehicle hit the bike while it was down on lanes following the smash near the San Pedro Street exit just after 1 a.m, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
Vehicles were swerving to avoid the rider while he was lying on the road. He was later found to have died at the scene. What caused the crash is still unknown.
A sig alert was issued for all lanes on the westbound 10, which reopened just after 3:30 a.m.
