State regulators said there's no evidence that graves at a Jewish cemetery were desecrated to make room for new burials.

The state's findings come after a lawsuit filed in September claimed that Eden Memorial Park in Mission Hills disturbed as many as 1,500 graves, tried to squeeze plots together, broke into vaults and threw out human skulls and other remains.

But Rick Wallinder of the state's Cemetery and Funeral Bureau said an investigation found no evidence that graves were disturbed over the past 14 years.

Service Corporation International, which owns the 72-acre park, has denied the allegations.

Attorney Michael Avenatti, whose lawsuit represents more than 1,000 families, said he plans to present evidence in court to support his claims.
