Suspected Carjackers Surrender After North Hills Barricade

Three carjacking suspects were arrested Tuesday at the end of a standoff with authorities at a North Hills apartment complex.

The suspects were wanted for carjackings reported around 8:45 p.m. Monday in the area of Keswick Street and Yolanda Avenue and one in the area of Vanalden Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard, said Sgt. Chad Lewis of the Los Angeles Police Department's West Valley Station.

No injuries were reported, he added.

A perimeter was set up in North Hills and the SWAT team was sent to an apartment complex in the area of Chase Street and Orion Avenue, where the suspects were believed to be hiding.

The three suspects surrendered just before 4 a.m., police said.
