An eighth grade teacher in Orange County has been arrested for an alleged inappropriate relationship with a juvenile student.
Kristen Roush, 34, was arrested Friday for lewd and lascivious acts with a child, according to a news release from the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
Parents of the boy student at La Paz Intermediate School in Mission Viejo became concerned over what they perceived as an inappropriate relationship between Roush and their son and contacted investigators several months ago, officials said.
Investigators interviewed several witnesses and obtained information from both Roush's and the boy's cellphones before the arrest.
Roush is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
