A man was arrested early Tuesday after an officer-involved shooting and a crash that involved a pregnant woman in Fontana.

Police were called to a home in the 8200 block of Madrona Drive where a woman said her ex-boyfriend would not leave. The man fled and hit a police officer with his car, according to police. Another officer shot at the vehicle, hitting the driver, but the suspect kept going.

Other police joined the pursuit.

A few blocks away, the suspect crashed his car into another vehicle, which was being operated by a pregnant woman.

Both the officer and pregnant woman were hospitalized. They were treated and released.

Police arrested 28-year old Anthony Archuletta for the attempted murder of a police officer and a parole violation. Archuletta is being treated for a gunshot wound at the hospital.
