A pursuit ends with a standoff outside a Fashion District business Wednesday in downtown Los Angeles. John Cadiz Klemack reports for the NBC4 News at Noon on Wednesday April 2, 2014.

Officers took two people into custody Wednesday after a pursuit that began with a burglary report ended with a police standoff at a business in downtown Los Angeles.

The driver of the Nissan sedan and other occupants were possibly involved in a burglary at a Hacienda Heights residence before the pursuit on freeways and surface streets near downtown Los Angeles, police said. The subjects -- police said they believe the men were armed -- ran from the vehicle at the intersection of Pico Boulevard and San Julien Street (map) in the Fashion District.

One of the men ran into one business before coming back outside and running into a nearby shipping and packaging services business. Officers behind police vehicles drew their weapons during a standoff that began after the man entered the building.

At about 11:10 a.m., aerial video showed officers taking two people into custody. A third subject has not been located, police said.

No shots were fired during the standoff. No injuries were reported.
