Orange County Elementary School Cleared After PVC Pipe Found by Custodian

The Orange County Sheriff's bomb squad was called to the school to investigate

An Orange County elementary school was given the "all clear" after being evacuated when a custodian reported finding a PVC pipe inside a Ziploc bag on campus.

Tamura Elementary School, located in the 17300 block of Santa Suzanne Street, was evacuated around 7:13 a.m.

The Orange County Sheriff's bomb squad was called to the school to investigate. NewsChopper4 captured footage of a bomb-detecting device near a bench on the lawn of the school.

Authorities said the device was a pastic pipe attachment that kids were using as an extension for a GoPro camera. The kids were using it to film their skateboarding tricks and left it on campus over the weekend.

The "all clear" was given around 9:30 a.m.
