Minor Injuries in Car, Orange Line Bus Crash

The crash occurred near the busway's intersection with White Oak Avenue

Six bus passengers suffered minor injuries Monday when a car collided with a Metro Orange Line bus at an Encino intersection.

The bus was westbound when it collided with a black sedan in the 6000 block of White Oak Avenue.

Six people aboard the bus suffered minor injuries, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The female driver of the car declined treatment at the scene, the LAFD said.

No life-threatening injuries were reported.

Aerial video showed the black sedan partially on a sidewalk near the busway. The car sustained damage to the passenger's side.

Fire-rescue crews removed a dog from the vehicle. The dog was carried in what appeared to be a sheet to a nearby sport utility vehicle for transport to a veterinary care center.

Another bus arrived to transport passengers.

The Orange Line bus travels on a dedicated 14-mile busway from North Hollywood through the west San Fernando Valley. The crash occurred near White Oak Avenue and Oxnard Street.
