Overturned Big Rig in Long Beach Snarls Traffic

Fuel spilling out of the truck is blocking the No. 4 lane and on-ramp

The cause of a big rig accident on the northbound 710 Freeway at the Anaheim Street on-ramp in Long Beach during morning rush hour was being investigated by California Highway Patrol officials Monday afternoon.

At least one person was injured and five gallons of oil spilled out of the truck, according to a spokesman from the California Highway Patrol.

The No. 4 lane and on-ramp were initially closed due to the crash and reopened within a couple of hours.
