Man, Woman Found Dead in Car in Oxnard

The pair was unresponsive and had suffered gunshot wounds

Authorities are searching for those responsible for the slayings of two people found dead Saturday inside a vehicle in Oxnard.

A woman in her 50s and a man in his late 30s were found unresponsive in the 600 block of South D Street, Sgt. Christopher Williams, with Oxnard police, said in a news release Saturday evening.

Officers were called to the scene to check on the well-being of two people in the car. Both victims had suffered gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The pair was found about 7:30 a.m.

Names of the victims have not been released pending notification of next of kin.

A $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the victims’ deaths has been offered, as is the City of Oxnard’s policy in cases of homicide.
