Man Dies After Being Stabbed at Panorama City Bus Stop

A man who was found stabbed in the chest and lying on the ground next to a bus stop on Memorial Day died Tuesday morning, and police asking for help to find his attacker.

Officers found the man on the sidewalk next to a bus stop in the 9100 block of Van Nuys Boulevard before 11 p.m. Monday, Los Angeles police said.

The man had stab wounds to the chest, and he died at a hospital about 1 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Los Angeles police identified the man as 40-year-old Pablo Martinez, but the coroner's office has not yet released the victim's name and date of birth.

Anyone with information should call homicide detectives at 818-838-9810 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 818-838-9800 from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m.
