A magnitude-2.6 earthquake struck about 2 miles northeast of San Fernando Wednesday morning, and residents from numerous surrounding communities reported feeling the quake.
The quake hit at 1:39 a.m., and although its magnitude was fairly small, people in communities of Mission Hills, Sherman Oaks, Granada Hills, Pasadena, Hacienda Heights, North Hills and parts of Glendale all said they felt the quake.
"I most certainly did feel it," said NBC4 viewer Cathy Goodman in Sherman Oaks. "I was glad the house didn’t keep on shaking!"
One Sylmar woman was in bed when the quake woke her up.
"I was in Sylmar asleep on the second floor, and my bed shook for a second," said NBC4 viewer Rosemary Ortiz.
No injuries or damage were reported from the earthquake.
