Police say 22-year-old Keith Nichols, a security guard from Compton, turned himself in and was booked for investigation of sexual battery.
Nichols surrendered to police after he was accused of posing as a photographer for Vibe magazine in order to lure at least four women with promises of modeling opportunities and then sexually assaulting them.
Police say Nichols told the women they could be models for Vibe, but he had to measure them for "custom-fitted underwear" first.
In two cases, Nichols met victims on the Metro Blue Line train between Long Beach and Los Angeles. Each woman hoped to get a modeling job and referred a roommate to him, according to the Daily Breeze.
The suspected crimes occurred in public places that were secluded and out of sight.
Police say the women realized they had been conned when Nichols didn't returned their phone calls.
