Lake Elsinore Man Arrested of Four Counts on $100k Bail

Police have arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery and subsequent hit-and-run crash in Anaheim.

Anaheim police arrested Paul Marval III, 39, late Friday night for robbery, attempted burglary, probation violation and possession of a stolen vehicle, after he was positively identified by witnesses, officials said.

About 2 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at Fry's Electronics in the 3300 block of E. La Palma Avenue, Anaheim Police Lt. Bob Dunn said. Upon arrival, the officers found out that two males had fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV.

A short time later, Anaheim police received word of a hit-and-run collision involving a dark SUV, and two males were seen running from the car.

One male who ran from the SUV was killed after an armed standoff with police, who found him inside a car parked in a dealership lot. He has not been identified.

Marval was detained after witnesses directed police to him, and was later arrested  and held on $100,000 bail. Detectives also learned through the investigation that the dark SUV had been stolen in Corona.
