Police Arrest Man Wanted in 5 Sexual Assaults

A man was arrested and booked Saturday for sexually assaulting five women this week, police said.

Police arrested Rudy Dominguez, 24, of Moreno Valley Saturday at 1 a.m. after officers saw a man in the 24000 block of Atwood Avenue who matched the description of a man wanted for the assaults.

Dominguez allegedly assaulted five women last week, said Dep. Armando Muñoz of the Moreno Valley Police Department.

On Wednesday between 8:30 and 9 p.m., three women were assaulted by a man in three separate incidents on their buttocks and other private areas while they were shopping at a business in the area of Ironwood Avenue and Graham Street, Moreno Valley police said.

Another woman was walking near Fall River Road and Albion way, on Friday morning around 7:35, when a man grabbed her breast area as he walked by her, according to police.

About 10 minutes later, a man approached a fifth woman from behind and sexually assaulted her in the breast area at Hemlock Avenue and Graham Street, authorities said.

Each time, the man immediately walked or ran away in a different direction, noted police.

"Based on the physical description provided by the victims, the manner in which the crimes were carried out, and the location where the incidents occurred, officers believe one individual may be responsible for committing these assaults," Moreno Valley police said in a statement.

Police asked for the public’s help to identify the man Friday before he was arrested early Saturday. Dominguez was identified as the person from each incident based on victims' statement and other information about the incidents, Moreno Valley police said in a statement.

He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on multiple counts of sexual battery related charges.
