Slow-Speed Police Pursuit Ends in West Covina

A slow-speed pursuit that began in La Puente traveled through the city of Industry before coming to a stop in West Covina Sunday night.

Newschopper4 Bravo was over the chase at around 9:50 p.m.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Industry Station said that the driver was suspected of making a threat and domestic assault.

The pursuit began on Valley Boulevard, near Wickford Avenue in La Puente, the LASD said.

The driver of the SUV was stopping and starting with a line of law enforcement vehicles following close behind. At least once, the man seemed like he was ready to follow instructions, but then continued to drive forward.

Eventually, after a couple false stops, the man stopped and surrendered to police without further incident. Police checked the vehicle and did not find any other people.

The chase ended around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Vincent Avenue and Lakes Drive in West Covina.
