Police were pursuing a reckless driver in the Sun Valley area Wednesday afternoon.
The driver cut off a school bus near a school in the Sun Valley area, said Los Angeles Unified School District police Sgt. Nestor Gonzalez. The Los Angeles Police Department took over the pursuit of the pickup truck after LAUSD police initiated the chase.
After driving erratically on surface streets, the man crashed his truck into a van parked on a sidewalk near the corner of Howard Street and Lake Avenue in Altadena and ran away from the scene. Officers from the Pasadena Police Department soon caught up to him and made an arrest around 4:40 p.m.
