A police pursuit of possible burglary suspects at a grocery store in Newport Beach ended with an arrest Saturday night in Inglewood.
The chase began in Newport Beach, officials said.
The chase of the black Dodge Charger took place at high speeds along freeways and surface streets and ended when police found the car abandoned in a neighborhood in Inglewood.
During the pursuit, a man threw a handgun out the window of the car, officials said.
Police were searching the Inglewood neighborhood where the car was found for at least two others late Saturday.
