Burglary Suspects in Custody After High-Speed Pursuit

A 20-minute police pursuit that topped 80 mph ended in El Sereno shortly before 9 a.m. with two burglary suspects in custody, according to police.

The chase began in South Gate around 8:40 a.m. The suspects took the 710 northbound and exited in the El Sereno area near a trucking facility at the intersection of Concord and Alhambra avenues.

The suspects were arrested after a short foot pursuit.

At times, the chase topped 80 mph, according to South Gate police.
