Police Raid Lake Elsinore Marijuana Dispensary

A Lake Elsinore dispensary called "420 Hitters" was raided by Riverside County Sheriff's Department for allegedly operating outside marijuana laws and making a profit.

Sheriff's deputies confiscated eight pounds of marijuana, 2.5 ounces of hash, 378 marijuana plants, and $1,900, Sgt. Joe Borja of Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.

Search warrants were also served at two other Lake Elsinore locations in Hemet and Murrieta, Borja said.

Dominic Armato, the business manager, as well as the receptionist Melanie Birchard and an edible marijuana cook, Carol Stahl, were arrested and booked on several charges including possession and transportation of marijuana for sale.

Two suspects, Eric Stahl and Luis Stahl, co-owners of the medical marijuana business, were still outstanding.

The investigation began in December when the Riverside County Sheriff's Department was contacted about the dispensary allegedly operating outside marijuana laws, Borja said.
