Police Respond to Large Crowd Celebrating Dodgers Victory in East LA

Dodgers fanatics took to the streets of East Los Angeles to celebrate their home team's victory of earning a spot in the World Series on Thursday, prompting a large response from police.

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field 11-1 in Game 5 of the NCLS.

Fans paraded around Atlantic Boulevard and Whittier Boulevard until authorities dispersed the crowd. California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to put a halt to the fireworks and ecstatic fans screaming in victory.

When the authorities' orders to leave did not work, they shot a form of pellets at the crowd in an effort to break it up.

This is the first time the Dodgers have advanced to the World Series since 1988.
