Police Search for Hit-And-Run Driver That Left 65-Year-Old Critically Injured

The Los Angeles Police Department has named a person of interest in a Studio City hit-and-run that critically injured a 65-year-old man.

The Los Angeles Police Department is searching for a man they believe is responsible for a hit-and-run that left a 65-year-old man critically injured on Friday.

Police are searching for George Ronald Nicoletti and a tan four-door 1998 Saturn Ion with California license plate number 6HAY595, according to a news release.

The accident was reported Friday around 7:30 p.m., when a vehicle traveling eastbound on the 12800 block of Moorpark Street struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street. The driver fled the scene, police said.

Family and friends have identified the victim as 65-year-old songrwriter and educator Rob Meurer.
