Eric Ferguson of Inglewood was with a supervised adult development group about 1 p.m. visiting the Fun Factory arcade, Redondo Beach police said. As the group began to leave, he was last seen near the foot of the pier at Torrance Boulevard.
Ferguson will respond to his name, but is wary about physical contact, police said. He usually will not hold a conversation and tends to repeat himself.
Police said the man lives with his mother in Inglewood and has never walked away before. He knows how to ride the bus, but he may not have the money for fare.
Ferguson was described as a black man, 5 foot 11 inches tall and weighing about 230 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark-green T-shirt, green shorts and black Nike shoes.
