Charges were dropped Monday against a father arrested by Pomona police for public intoxication at the LA County Fair in 2015, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office.
On Sept. 15, 2015, a teen and his father accused Pomona police officers of a cover-up after they said they were roughed up during an arrest.
Ignacio Aguilar's 16-year-old son was arrested after being punched and wrestled to the ground by officers. He was videotaping his father's arrest at the LA County Fair, and officers said they believed he was trying to free his dad.
Police reports claim Ignacio was "antagonistic" and "unable to take care of himself."
But his attorney David Gamil says the cellphone recording taken by his teen son contradicts the police account.
The same officers claimed Christian was following too closely, trying to "rescue" his dad.
Ignacio claims he was never given a field sobriety test or a breathalyzer.

He told NBC4 that when he was in lock-up, he spotted a camera and actually attempted to give himself a field sobriety test, hoping to prove his innocence.
The family attorney says dismissing the criminal charges was the right thing to do, but it is still not enough.
"That doesn't mean the officers are going to be held responsible by the city or the police themselves. So we will bring a lawsuit to make sure they're held responsible and we are going to make heads roll," Gamil said.
The obstruction charges against the teenager were dropped in late May. The family tells NBC4 they now plan to file a civil suit against the Pomona Police Department after all charges against the teen's father were dropped Monday.
