Power Outages Keep Schools Closed

Pasadena schools and 18 LAUSD campuses were shut on Friday as crews struggled to restore power.

Power Outages Keep Schools Closed


Schools in Pasadena remained closed on Friday, as did 18 campuses in the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Officials in both districts said classes were canceled because of ongoing power outages due to this week's high winds. The districts are aiming to re-open the schools on Monday.

Here is a list of L.A. Unified schools that are closed today:

Arroyo Seco Magnet

Buchanan Elementary School

Busnell Way Elementary School

Delevan Drive Elementary School

El Sereno Eearly Education Center

El Sereno Elementary School

Fletcher Drive Elementary School

Gates Early Education Center

Gates Elementary School

Griffin Elementary School

Highland Park High School

Hillside Elementary School

Ivanhoe Elementary School

Latona Elementary School

Monte Vista Early Education Center

Riordan Early Education Center
