Prominent Attorney Doug Ring Found Dead

Los Angeles Police Conduct Death Investigation at his Brentwood home

Investor and attorney Douglas R. Ring was found dead Thursday in a home in Brentwood, authorities said.
   
A 911 call was made from the home in the 300 block of Fordyce Road at 12:10 p.m., and Los Angeles police officers and firefighters responded to the location, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Rosario Herrera said.
  
"Detectives were notified, and they responded and did their investigation then called the coroner," Herrera said. "As of now, the cause
of death is undetermined."

Ring served as a commissioner of the Los Angeles Community Redevelopment Agency and a member of the Board of the Museum of Contemporary Art.

As an attorney, he specialized in administrative and real estate law. He also served as special counsel to various government agencies.

Ring was married to former City Councilwoman Cindy Miscikowski.
