CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Teens Steal Puppies From Compton Pet Store

"It was so fast. I was busy tending to clients," said the pet store's owner, Maria Gonzalez.

Two teenagers were caught on surveillance video stealing puppies from a pet store in Compton.

The owners of Jazmin's Pet store said they discovered two French Poodles had been stolen Thursday around 6:30 p.m. when they noticed their cages were empty.

Surveillance video shows two young girls struggling to open a cage, grabbing two puppies and hiding them in their bags before walking out of the store.

"They entered knowing we would be busy," said the pet store's owner, Maria Gonzalez. "It was so fast. I was busy tending to clients."

The dogs were 1 1/2-month old French poodles who were being cared after and sold at the pet store.

Gonzalez says she handed over the video to authorities who will be investigating the case.
