Purse Snatchers in Ford Truck Targeting Women in Panorama City

Detectives on Friday were asking for the public's help to identify a man and a woman believed to have committed a series of street robberies targeting women walking alone in Panorama City.

The duo drive up to victims in a Ford F-150 truck. The man is usually driving and the woman gets out of the truck and goes up to victims. The woman is armed with different weapons and will demand the victim’s property.

The woman usually takes the victim’s purse and gets back in the truck.

At least two women have been robbed by the couple, one on April 11 at 3 p.m. in the 15300 block of Roscoe Boulevard and another April 12 at 6:20 p.m. at Wakefield Avenue and Grammar Place, less than 5 minutes away.

The woman is described as Latina, between 25 and 27 years of age with black hair about 5 foot 4 inches and 140 pounds. The man is described as Latino, 25 to 27 years of age, bald and about 5 foot 11.

The suspects' vehicle was captured on camera during one of the robberies. The truck is a 2001 black Ford F150 4-door Harley Davidson model with the CA license plate 77584D1.
