    NBC4 viewer Jason Lee caught a pursuit on video as he was watching the pursuit on TV on Sunday. This is live video of the pursuit.

    NBC4 viewer Jason Lee was shooting video of a pursuit on our 11 p.m. newscast Sunday when the pursuit came to him.

    At least a half-dozen patrol cars pursued the driver behind the wheel of a stolen Toyota Camry as it weaved through LA and Hawthorne for two hours.

    It ended in Inglewood when the driver -- a boy -- finally gave up. Authorities aren’t releasing his age.

    An hour-long police pursuit came through Jason Lee's neighborhood a couple times before the driver finally gave up. Lee was watching the pursuit on NBC4 when the chase came zooming by his window. He said at one point, he thought the pursued car was going to come through the window. This video aired during the NBC4 News at 11 p.m. on Jan. 15, 2013.

    He was booked into custody on charges including car theft and assault with a deadly weapon.

    Lee told NBC4 that, at first, he thought the pursued driver was going to come through the window.

    By Friday, Lee's video had garnered more than 4.4 million views on YouTube.
