Pursuit Ends in Crash at Union Station

A Los Angeles Police Department pursuit ended in a crash at approximately 9:44 p.m. Wednesday night in front of Union Station in Los Angeles.

The vehicle, a suspected stolen vehilcle white Nissan with paper plates had three occupants. The vehicle was pursued on the 110 Freeway and then on surface streets.

A woman, 35, was hit by large debris from the crash and injured.

"The car hit the curb and coming straight for us and we all began to run away from the scene,'' Kimberly Simmons, a witness to the crash, told NBC4.

"The car hit the curb and I feel like it was nothing but God that stopped it because it was like this close to us.''

The driver, identified as a woman by NBC4, stayed in the car along with a passenger following the crash. One of the victims was briefly trapped and rescued by firefighters, according to Brian Humphrey with the Los Angeles Fire Department. The driver and passenger were taken to a hospital in unknown condition, Humphrey said.

A third suspect, male, was seen exiting the vehicle while going southbound on Griffith Avenue in Highland Park. Authorities are still looking for him.
