RFK's Killer Says New Prison Can't Protect Him

Sirhan Sirhan has been transferred to a new prison and his life could be in danger, his attorney said this week.
Sirhan, who assassinated Robert F. Kennedy in 1968, was transferred from California state prison in Corcoran to Pleasant Valley State Prison in Coalinga.
Sirhan's attorney, William F. Pepper, said his client opposed the move out of Corcoran, which is known for housing high-risk prisoners such as Charles Manson.
Laurie Dusek, an associate of Pepper, told The Associated Press that "Our main concern is for his safety. We are not sure that Pleasant Valley has the ability to protect him. He is a target."
Sirhan, 65, will not be mixed with the general population, but will interact with inmates in a larger yard, the AP reported.
