Rain, Cold Fronts Rolling in Over Southern California

Light showers Friday will be followed by significant rain on Saturday

Get your slickers out, Southern California. Friday is seeing some light rain in the region, and there's more to come over the weekend.

There's going to be a period of cool and "unsettled weather" over Saturday and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Highs will be in the 60s, with temperatures dipping slightly lower over by Sunday.

The weather service warned drivers to take care when traveling on rainy streets and freeways.

"Motorists should be alert for slick roadways due to the combination of oil and rainfall," the service said in a special weather statement.
