Eastbound lanes of the 74 Highway are closed heading toward Orange County due to rock debris on the road.
The closure was in effect near the Nichols Institute, a landmark in the Santa Ana Mountains between Orange and Riverside counties, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher.
The recent rains had loosened the debris, the dispatcher said. The road was expected to reopen at 4 p.m.
