Rams Make Cuts To Roster Including Seau, Kush, Hill

The Los Angles Rams made cuts on Friday, as they moved closer to the final 53-man roster

The NFL Preseason is over, and the Los Angeles Rams began moving closer to the required 53-man regular season roster with a series of cuts announced on Friday.

Linebacker Ian Seau, nephew of San Diego Chargers great Junior Seau, didn't make the grade for the LA Rams, along with offensive lineman Eric Kush and wide receiver Austin Hill, who were both prominently featured in HBO's "Hard Knocks" documentary series filmed during training camp. Hill is the nephew of long time LA local sportscaster Jim Hill.

According to the LA Times, receiver Duke Williams, tight-end Justice Cunningham, running back Terrence Magee, safety Rohan Gaines, kicker Taylor Bertolet and defensive lineman Morgan Fox were also among the players waived.

The list of casualties will only grow as the team is required to finalize its 53-man roster by 1 p.m. Pacific Time on Saturday. The quick drop from 75 players to 53 players means pink slips are being handed off as routinely as footballs at the line of scrimmage these days.

Once the roster is finalized, the Rams can look forward to opening their 2016 NFL season on Sept. 12 in Santa Clara against Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers.
