Body of Woman, 23, Found at Redlands Orange Grove

A body was discovered Wednesday at a Redlands orange grove.

The body of a 23-year-old Perris woman was found Tuesday evening on the edge of an orange grove in the Redlands area.

Sylvia Marie Flores' body was discovered on Almond Avenue west of Alabama Street, authorities said. Homicide investigators were at the location overnight before coroner's officials removed the body Wednesday morning.

Details regarding a cause of death were not immediately available.

The body was discovered by a woman walking home near the orange grove Tuesday evening, according to police.

"I just happened to come across something that was out of the ordinary, so I called 911," Sharon Polich told NBC4. "My legs were a little wobbly. I wasn't sure if they were going to come up and run after me or what."

The victim was likely killed at another location, according to investigators.

Anyone with information about the case can call 909-798-7580 or 909-798-7681.
