Murder Suspect Arrested in Reseda Apartment Standoff

The suspect was wanted in connection with a December killing in Van Nuys

A man wanted in connection with a murder investigation was arrested Thursday morning following a standoff at an apartment in the San Fernando Valley.

The overnight standoff began around 4:30 a.m. when officers arrived in the 18000 block of Kittridge Street in Reseda to serve a warrant in a murder investigation, according to police. Details regarding the murder case were not immediately available, but authorities said the killing occurred in Van Nuys in December.

Two children were inside the home with the suspect's father, but they were not considered hostages or in danger during the standoff, police said.

Victor Fuentes Sanchez, 27, was arrested later Thursday morning after he surrendered to police. He was booked on suspicion of murder.
