Retailer Target to Match Competitors' Prices

The company said Tuesday it would honor prices by Amazon.com and others

In a move that could ease prices for consumers in the coming months, the Target discount chain said Tuesday that it will match prices with its online competitors, starting now.

The giant company had instituted a similar policy during the past few holiday season, but never made the commitment to extend price-matching throughout the year.

Now, executives said, Target will match prices with Amazon.com, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, Toysrus.com and Babysrus.com.

To get the best prices, consumers will have to bring proof of the competitors' prices to the guest services desk at one of its stores. The company has more details about the deals on its website.
