80-Year-Old Woman Attacked During Robbery at Mobile Home Park

Police are searching Monday night for the attacker, or attackers, who severely beat a 80-year-old Riverside mobile home park resident before driving off in her car.

Between 6 and 8 a.m. Monday, three mobile homes in the Riverside Meadows Mobile Park were burglarized, police said. The incidents happened in the 4000 block of Pierce Street.

Police said the 80-year-old woman was hit in the head with some kind of weapon and transported to the hospital. Her condition was not known late Monday.

The attacker apparently fled the scene in the victim’s 1995 Toyota Camry with California disabled license plate DPL2518, the Riverside Press Enterprise reports.

A records check of the car’s license plate shows that it belongs to a woman who lives at the address where the attack happened.

Anyone with information is asked to call Riverside police, or if they spot the stolen vehicle, they are asked to call 911.
