Driver Crashes Off Canyon Road Near Simi Valley

An SUV crashed about 50 feet off this canyon road near Simi Valley.

A woman was rescued Wednesday after crashing off the side of a canyon road in the Simi Valley area.
The driver spent the night in the SUV, which was found about 50 feet down a hillside off Santa Susana Road near Box Canyon. A passerby called the California Highway Patrol at about 6:45 a.m. to report the crash.
Ventura County firefighters hoisted the woman to safety. Her injuries were described as "moderate."
